The Untitled Poetry Lineage

The Untitled Poetry Lineage is an evolving body of work by Brodie Finegan Forbes, tracing a single human life through the painful and glorious stages of transformation, with each volume inheriting what came before while pushing the mythology somewhere new. Rather than existing as isolated collections, the Untitled books form one continuous literary architecture: a record of identity changing under the forces of love, grief, obsession, survival, creation and time. Each new heir to the kingdom captures a different state of being, but together they tell a larger story: the transformation of a life into a body of work, and a body of work into a legacy.

Untitled

A Poetic Indenture

Written across a year but carrying the weight of a lifetime, the book moves through trauma, love, addiction, identity, ambition, anger, grief, survival and the relentless need to create. Its title captures the collection perfectly: this is an artistic indenture, a binding agreement never consciously signed, in which writing becomes simultaneously labour, refuge, suffering and purpose.

Untitled the II

A Poetic Inheritance

An accumulation of desire, loss, rage, solitude, obsession and the consequences of feeling life so deeply. For the reader, the collection offers an encounter with the extremes of human experience: from the brutality of violence and the devastation of isolation to fleeting love, tenderness and the strange beauty that survives alongside pain.

Untitled the III

A Poetic Consequence

This collection offers poetry born from the stillness after the storm: meditations on consequence, ego, faith, decay, endurance and the unexpected tenderness that can survive destruction. It is an invitation into the ash and the echo, to encounter poetry in which every experience has a cost, every choice leaves evidence, and survival does not mean emerging unchanged.

Untitled the IV

A Poetic Momentum

It offers poetry charged with energy and urgency, moving through desire, excellence, regret, defiance, love and the relentless scrutiny of the self. It invites the reader to experience poetry as propulsion: something that pushes, carries and demands movement, reminding us that momentum is neither comfort nor pause, but the extraordinary force of continuing forward.

Untitled the V

A Poetic Existence

Dissolving the distance between life and language, this collection explores existence in its rawest and most immediate form. It offers poetry that observes rather than chases, moving through identity, awareness, loneliness, truth, ego, love and the quiet violence of being alive. It invites the reader to encounter poetry as presence: something that inhabits.

Untitled the VI

A Poetic Myth

Exploring the strange process by which childhood becomes folklore, ambition becomes prophecy, love becomes ritual, suffering becomes symbol and the people we once were become characters in the stories we leave behind. For the reader, it offers a poetic kingdom populated by the frightened child, the dragon boy, the Judas goat, the man on fire, the doomed captain, the honeybee and the ghost of tomorrow.

Untitled the VII

A Poetic Pressure

Beneath the accumulating weight of ambition, rejection, love, rage, loneliness, faith, memory and the relentless compulsion to create. For the reader, it offers poetry forged under pressure, where the page becomes altar, battleground and confessional, and where the artist, the man and the mythology are pressed against one another.
